The conference focuses on key challenges and innovations related to drinking water in the Mediterranean region. The scientific programme is structured around four main thematic areas:

• Topic 1: Water Quality

Assessment and monitoring of physical, chemical, and microbiological parameters affecting drinking water sources and distribution systems.

• Topic 2: Detection and Treatment of Micropollutants

Identification, quantification, and removal of emerging contaminants such as pharmaceuticals, endocrine-disrupting compounds, and microplastics.

• Topic 3: Drinking Water Safety and Access 

Risk-based approaches to ensure safe drinking water, equitable access, and resilience in the face of environmental and socio-economic pressures.
